Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist within Customer Forecasting and Valuation (CFV). CFV builds transformer-based models from billions of events to evaluate launches and investments across Retail, Ads, Marketing, and Selection.

You will work at the intersection of causal inference, sequence modeling, and experimentation, translating research into production decisions and partnering with senior scientists, product owners, and a dedicated engineering team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Work at the intersection of causal inference, sequence modeling, and experimentation.
• Translate research into production systems that affect launch decisions.
