Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an Applied Scientist to design and productionize machine learning models powering enterprise supply chain applications at scale.

You will work at the intersection of research and production, building deep learning, LLMs, and optimization solutions. The role involves end-to-end experimentation, collaboration with software engineers, and mentoring teammates in a fast-moving, startup-like AWS environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications
• PhD or Master's with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models for demand forecasting and inventory optimization
• Develop generative AI and agentic AI solutions for supply chain workflows
• Formulate real-world problems as ML problems; define data requirements and evaluation metrics
• Drive end-to-end applied science projects from ideation through production deployment
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and stakeholders and mentor other scientists
