Lightfield is hiring applied researchers and research scientists to lead its first projects building a Business World Model. You’ll own projects from the initial question to measurable product impact and publication, shaping the lab’s agenda and reputation.

You’ll report to the Chief AI Officer and collaborate with AI engineers and GTM experts to push research into production and publish benchmarks and arXiv reports.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applied research experience in ML or NLP.
• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Track record of research that shipped or was published.

Responsabilités

• Lead research projects in evaluation, benchmarks, simulation and self‑improvement.
• Design empirical evaluations using LLM‑as‑judge, rubric‑based grading, offline replay and A/B tests.
