Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Staff Engineer, Applied AI to shape how Generative AI enhances customer and associate experiences across the enterprise. This senior hands-on role partners with engineering, data science, and product leaders to design, build, and scale AI-powered capabilities that automate workflows and improve decisions.

You will mentor engineers in AI, LLMs, and agent-based development, drive architecture decisions, and push innovative approaches for reliable, scalable systems in production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering or applied machine learning experience.
• 2+ years working with Generative AI or LLM-based systems in production.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating production AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for automating business processes using AI and agent-based systems.
• Architect, build, and deploy applied AI solutions across enterprise workflows.
• Mentor engineers and scientists who want to develop AI and agent-based workflow skills.
• Lead rigorous experimentation and evaluation in production environments.
