Job summary

Qnity Electronics is seeking an Applications Engineering Team Leader in ACST to guide a team of application engineers in advancing CMP slurry product development for semiconductor fabrication. The role focuses on technical leadership, customer engagements, and driving winning solutions for US clients.

The candidate will lead advanced R&D projects, develop technical expertise in CMP technology, and collaborate with internal and global teams to translate market needs into development activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science/eng or related field with 10+ years of related experience. MS or PhD with 5+ years preferred.
• Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and fab metrology & procedures.
• CMP process knowledge and experience, especially on CMP pad, CMP slurry, or post-CMP cleaning development.
• DOE, statistical data analysis, and technical reporting expertise.
• Demonstrated highly effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and application projects; manage and train the team; set performance metrics; grow CMP expertise.
• Serve as primary technical liaison to US semiconductor clients; present CMP slurry solutions; enable design wins.
• Design experiments (DOEs) to support development, scale-up and commercialization of slurry and post-CMP cleaning.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales, and global product teams to align product strengths with customer needs.
• Troubleshoot internal/external problems; optimize processes with customer engineers.
• Some travel up to 15%.
• Participate in safety activities and meet safety requirements.
