Entegris in Decatur, TX invites a Lead, Applications Engineer, Silicon Carbide Materials to join our team. You will lead development, validation, and introduction of graphite and silicon carbide materials into wide bandgap transistor processing, starting with crystal pulling and epitaxial growth.

You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to scale up during validation, manage schedules, build vendor relationships, and apply DOE and FEA tools to optimize material performance across

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 3+ years' experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years' experience.
• 10+ years in SiC wafer manufacturing, LED manufacturing, or wide bandgap processing.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal R&D on materials development and synthesis.
• Characterize different material grades in application environments.
• Coordinate with FEA modeling to assess material scenarios.
• Manage development schedules and timelines.
• Develop vendor and partner relationships to incorporate outside technologies.
• Develop scale-up plans after successful validation.
