Job summary

Rochester Sensors, an Amphenol Company, located in Coppell, Texas, seeks an Applications Engineer II to own and sustain the production product portfolio, including gauges and sensors, while maintaining design control in Dallas.

You will manage ECO/ECN changes, improve cost, quality, and reliability, and serve as a technical contact across Rochester's global facilities, providing hands-on troubleshooting and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of technical engineering experience in sustaining, product, or applications.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling and drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with DFMEAs and verification/validation testing.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and sustain production product lines, including 3D models, BOMs, and specs.
• Lead ECO/ECN changes and manage ERP documentation.
• Evaluate form, fit, function, and certification impact of changes.
• Create and maintain DFMEAs; plan and run verification/testing.
• Drive cost reduction via VA/VE projects and supplier changes.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, procurement, and sales.
• Support product certifications (UL/ATEX/CE) and QMS compliance.
