Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor Corp is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer – FPGA Tools to join our FPGA development team in the United States. This role covers the entire tool flow from design entry to place-and-route and timing closure, with emphasis on scripting and automation to improve workflow.

The candidate will bring 5+ years of FPGA tool experience (Radiant, Diamond, Quartus, Vivado), strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, Linux proficiency, and excellent English communication to collaborate

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. person for Aerospace and Defense market segment support
• 5+ years of FPGA design tool experience (e.g., Radiant, Diamond, Quartus, Vivado)
• Strong understanding and experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Strong understanding and experience in logic synthesis tools such as Synplify Pro
• Strong understanding and experience in FPGA implementation flow such as place‑and‑route, static timing analysis, and timing closure
• Solid experience working with Linux environments, with the ability to manage and troubleshoot OS‑level issues
• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Applications Engineer – FPGA Tools to join our team. This position requires knowledge and experience in the entire FPGA development tool flow from design entry to place‑and‑route and timing closure. Preferred skills include simulation, scripting, and RTL design experience. Experience with Lattice FPGA design software tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable FPGA software tool adoption through: Conducting analysis of tool capabilities and user requirements.

Preferred Qualification (Requirements)

• 5+ years of FPGA design tool experience (e.g., Radiant, Diamond, Quartus, Vivado)
• Strong understanding and experience in Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog
• Strong understanding and experience in logic synthesis tools such as Synplify Pro
• Strong understanding and experience in FPGA implementation flow such as place‑and‑route, static timing analysis, and timing closure
• Solid experience working with Linux environments, with the ability to manage and troubleshoot OS‑level issues as needed
• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

The following experience and skills are a plus for this position

• Experience with a variety of EDA software simulation tools for FPGA development, including ModelSim/QuestaSim, VCS, and/or Xcelium
• Good understanding of FPGA architecture and applications
• Hands‑on FPGA development experience, including verification
• Scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python
