Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing, Inc. in Mason, OH, is seeking an Applications Engineer / CNC Programmer to develop new processes, improve existing protocols, and mentor machinists on the shop floor.

You will create and modify programs for CNC Mill, Turn, or Grinding departments, with a strong emphasis on Siemens NX and Vericut verification. Prospective candidates should have 5+ years in a machine shop, 5+ years programming, and hands-on experience with high-temperature superalloys.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Machine Shop experience in CNC mills, lathes, or grinders.
• 5+ years as a CNC Programmer.
• 5+ Siemens NX experience is required.
• FANUC and Okuma CNC Controls experience preferred.
• VERICUT software experience preferred.
• Must be well-versed in cutting tools for super alloys.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate drawings to coordinate set-ups and operations.
• Determine best-practice processes and tooling for machining operations.
• Create tooling paths using CAD/CAM software and generate code for multi-axis work.
• Verify tool paths in Vericut and prepare setup descriptions for machinists.
• Document and establish standards for engineering changes and improvements.
• Provide training on setup procedures and machining processes to machinists.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and machinists to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
