Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Netcracker OSS/BSS support engineer in the United States, Maryland to configure, customize, and support Netcracker modules, ensuring reliable service.

You will work with IT and business teams, handle upgrades, integrations, and incident response; knowledge of databases, APIs, and ITSM tools is required; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Telecom or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Netcracker OSS/BSS experience.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom processes (order to cash, provisioning, lifecycle).
  • Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL, UNIX/Linux, and shell scripting.
  • Familiar with SOAP/REST, XML, and middleware.
  • ITIL practices and ITSM tools knowledge.
  • DevOps familiarity (Jenkins, Git, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize workflows to improve user experience and operations.
  • Provide Level 2/3 incident and service request support for Netcracker.
  • Work with Netcracker vendor for issue resolution and change requests.
  • Develop and maintain technical docs, SOPs, and user guides.
  • Assist in user training and onboarding for Netcracker systems.

Job description

  • Work closely with Netcracker vendor support for issue resolution and change requests.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience supporting or implementing Netcracker OSS/BSS applications.
  • Solid understanding of telecom business processes (order to cash, service provisioning, customer lifecycle management).
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), UNIX/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies such as SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and middleware platforms.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with network inventory and resource modeling within Netcracker.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
