Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a Security Engineer to help mature the Application Security program. The role focuses on securing Web, Mobile, APIs, databases, and containers, and requires strong collaboration with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.

You will mentor engineers, track security metrics, and stay current with CVEs and industry practices to drive continuous improvement across Advisor and Investor applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of application security experience.
• 10+ years of manual testing of APIs and web applications to identify vulnerabilities.
• 10+ years developing and maintaining enterprise security libraries and best practices checklists.
• 5+ years evaluating application security risk with stakeholders to improve CI/CD security.
• 5+ years creating and maintaining scan profiles for static, dynamic, IAST, and third-party libraries.
• 5+ years reviewing vulnerability scan results and tracking closures.

Responsibilities

• Perform as an application security SME across Web, Mobile, Databases, APIs, and Containers.
• Support and maintain application security testing platforms and automate integrations.
• Review potential false-positives with development teams and propose mitigations.
• Produce and track application security metrics.
• Educate product development and QA engineers on secure development practices.
• Monitor CVEs and industry developments for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT Governance, and Compliance on projects.
