Summary:

An International IT Service & Solutions serving the automotive industry located near Plano, TX is seeking an experienced and motivated Application Security Developer. As a Senior Application Security Developer, your main responsibility will be to safeguard the security of applications and connected service infrastructures. This includes creating, deploying, and managing security measures to address vulnerabilities, while actively contributing to the application development process.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong expertise in development using Java, Golang, and AWS services.
Design, develop, and maintain advanced mobile applications for iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
Actively participate in hands-on mobile application development and implement security best practices.
Perform security assessments on applications, including static and dynamic code analysis, to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
Collaborate with various teams to integrate secure coding practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Design, implement, and maintain application security controls, tools, and countermeasures.
Strengthen the security posture of cloud-based environments, such as AWS, by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Respond to security incidents, analyze root causes, and coordinate with third-party responders, including law enforcement, when necessary.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of mobile applications.
Research and evaluate emerging security threats, tools, and best practices to proactively enhance cybersecurity measures.
Provide training and guidance to teams to promote secure development practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in mobile application development with a strong focus on security.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, Golang, or similar.
Hands-on experience with security testing tools (e.g., SAST, DAST) and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and mobile application architecture.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their security best practices.
Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).

Preferred skills:

Proficiency with Gitlab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Datadog for monitoring and analytics.
Familiarity with AWS security services and best practices.
Proficiency in Japanese Language.
