Senior Application Manager - Microsoft Power Platform & D365

As a Senior Application Manager at Sprezzatura, you will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise adoption and sustainment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and the Microsoft Power Platform within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Working closely with the Program Manager and Platform Owner, you will ensure that daily operations, stakeholder engagement, vendor relationships, and team development align with the overall mission of the VA\'s Center of Excellence (COE). This position manages a team of technical and functional staff, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight while driving execution of program objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Support the daily cross-functional operational readiness of VA\'s enterprise Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 environments, along with associates supporting the program.
  • Manage and lead a team of direct reports, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate as an active member of the enterprise program, contributing to roadmap discussions, guiding team members, and helping identify and close gaps in the program model.
  • Oversee sustainment activities, release planning, upgrades, and performance monitoring to ensure platform stability and scalability.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure high-quality delivery, contract alignment, and effective collaboration.
  • Translate organizational needs into scalable platform solutions that improve efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive mission outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and certification readiness within the team.
  • Provide clear communication and engagement with stakeholders, escalating issues and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with IT standards, governance models, and security controls.
  • Track and report on program progress, risks, and outcomes in alignment with COE leadership priorities.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for issues that impact platform sustainment and delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, OR equivalent professional experience.
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in IT program management, enterprise applications, or digital platforms.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing direct reports in a technical or application management capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to support large programs, balancing technical oversight with business and mission needs.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience developing and supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including executive-level engagement.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Reliable internet service suitable for effective telecommuting.
Desired Skills
  • Experience working in government contracting environments.
  • Experience managing vendor or partner relationships in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Familiarity with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365 configuration and administration.
  • Transitioning military and/or Veterans with IT/IS, finance, and/or healthcare systems specialties are invited to apply.
