Job summary

Veolia seeks a Senior Application Engineer for its North America MicroElectronics Applications Engineering Team. This remote role serves as the primary technical contact for clients, leading UPW treatment solution design and bid lifecycle across a global, cross-functional team.

You will translate customer needs into Veolia solutions, develop technical documentation, and manage cost estimates and proposals, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical/mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Proven expertise in ultra pure water treatment technologies.
• Bid/proposal development experience with strong technical and commercial analysis skills.
• Customer-facing technical sales or engineering experience.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead bid strategy development in partnership with Sales, qualifying opportunities and organizing resources to meet submission deadlines.
• Translate customer requirements into Veolia solutions, optimizing competitive positioning and value delivery.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to design flowsheet processes that solve complex water treatment challenges.
• Develop technical documentation, including P&IDs and proposal materials that clearly communicate solution advantages.
• Manage cost estimation by partnering with Sourcing teams to obtain quotes and finalize competitive pricing.
• Drive proposal development by leading meetings, reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
• Establish project timelines and prioritize deliverables while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with internal bid development procedures, tracking, and forecasting protocols.

Note: This is a mechanical/chemical process engineering role within industrial water treatment. Candidates must have direct experience in high-purity water, UPW systems, or semiconductor water infrastructure.

We're seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join our MicroElectronics Applications Engineering Team in North America. This is a pivotal role where you'll be the primary technical point of contact for our clients, leading the design of cutting-edge Ultra Pure Water (UPW) treatment solutions.

You'll combine advanced technical expertise with strong customer relationship management and proven project leadership to deliver competitive, executable solutions. Working across a global, cross‑functional team, you'll manage the complete bid lifecycle—from lead qualification and system design through cost estimation, internal approvals, contract execution, and project handover.

Preferred Qualifications
