Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer with a focus on cloud platforms, specifically AWS. In this role, you'll engage with stakeholders on technical decisions, best practices and risk management while engineering and securing cloud capabilities and infrastructure.

Salary range:$235,000 - $260,000
Disclaimer: Salary for this position, along with additional compensation options, will be determined on an individual basis following the interview process, considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education/certifications, contract specifications, market conditions, etc.

Skills Requirements:

• Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders on technical decisions, best practices, and risk management
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
• Adaptability to rapidly evolving cloud technologies and infrastructure management tools
• Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture and security principles
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud solutions

Nice to Haves:

• Associate-level or higher commercial cloud certification (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework
• Proficiency in AWS security services (IAM, SCPs, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and related languages (YAML, JSON, Python)
• Knowledge of automation tools like SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

Experience Requirement:

• 8 yrs. with aB.S. in Computer Science or a technical discipline

Clearance Requirement:

• Active TS/SCI with a polygraph
