Job summary

Worky is seeking a software engineer to contribute to CAPS, NYC's Coordinated Entry housing system, helping identify and facilitate housing opportunities for vulnerable populations.

You will design, build, test, and document solid software components using Angular, .NET Core, MVC, and Oracle, while upholding security standards and enabling data reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Angular, .NET Core, MVC, VB.NET and WCF.
• Proficient in Oracle 12C/11g and developing/studying store procedures.
• Experience with client-side scripts: JQuery and JavaScript.
• Experience on Angular and MVC projects with test-driven development.
• Strong object-oriented design and development experience.
• Experience creating web services using JSON and SOAP.
• Proficient in data access, data structures, and database design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications, produce system documentation, and perform system design and application development activities.
• Develop and prepare documents for general design of solutions meeting system and security standards.
• Create, test, and maintain application components.
• Design reports, audit trails, security mechanisms.
• Provide general programming assistance to ITS programmers/projects as needed.
• Upgrade the existing system to meet ITS cyber security requirements.
