Job summary

Lawrence Harvey Search & Selection is seeking a Senior Application Developer in Malvern, PA to build applications that bridge plant-floor systems with MES, SCADA and business applications.

The role involves working across C#/.NET, SQL, PLCs, and MES platforms, from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support. Travel to customer sites will be required, with close collaboration to controls engineers and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with C# and/or VB.NET.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing applications within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Understanding of PLC and industrial control systems, with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred.
• Exposure to SCADA/HMI platforms, with Ignition highly desirable.
• MES/MOM experience with platforms such as PAS-X, Sepasoft or Syncade is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating software applications with PLC, SCADA, MES and plant-floor data.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to gather customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Strong communication, documentation and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Senior Application Developer

I’m working with a growing industrial automation and systems integration organization that develops software and control solutions for manufacturing clients. They’re looking for a Senior Application Developer to develop applications that connect the factory floor with wider manufacturing systems, working across C#/.NET, SQL, PLCs, SCADA and MES. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, from gathering customer requirements and designing solutions through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support. The role sits at the intersection of software development and industrial automation, so you’ll regularly work with controls engineers and manufacturing teams to integrate applications with plant-floor technologies.

Key experience

• 5+ years of development experience with C# and/or VB.NET
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
