SCADA / MES Developer
Base pay range: $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business, functional, and technical needs, contributing to application design, setup, testing, and implementation.
Assist users in defining requirements, offering guidance on alternatives and the impact of proposed system changes.
Partner with cross-functional teams beyond IT to identify integration opportunities for data collection and streamlined automation of manufacturing processes.
Acquisition & Deployment
Research emerging software development tools, programming languages, and standards to support procurement and development initiatives.
Organize and manage phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for various projects.
Handle administrative tasks such as user account setup, security configuration, and application customizations to ensure system availability.
Operational Management
Develop, translate, and code software solutions and applications based on defined specifications.
Apply best practices to support operations, enhance code, fix bugs, and maintain integrations across the application suite.
Critically evaluate test outcomes and implement solutions to address issues.
Deploy and update software for end users as needed.
Actively produce deliverables, including requirements documentation, design outputs, coding, unit testing, status updates, and project plans.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Background as a SCADA Developer, SCADA Engineer, MES Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, or similar role.
Proficiency with HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition) and integrating data from PLCs and enterprise systems like ERPs and WMSs.
Strong preference for experience with programming languages such as Python, Expression Language, and SQL.
Familiarity with:
Integration technologies (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC APIs, Web Services) and data exchange between systems.
Large-scale Digital Transformation or Industry 4.0 projects.
OEE concepts and their application within MES platforms.
Track and Trace technologies and MES integration.
ERP and WMS workflows, from raw material demand to finished goods movement.
Hands-on experience in integrated development environments.
Proven software troubleshooting skills.
