Tier4 Group in Georgia is seeking a hands-on Senior Application Architect to lead modernization of enterprise applications and architect cloud-native platforms. You will work with developers, tech leaders, and stakeholders to modernize legacy apps, set standards and guide delivery across multiple initiatives.

This highly technical role requires participating in architecture discussions, design reviews, and decision-making, while mentoring teams on scalable, secure solutions.

Job description

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Application Architect to help lead the modernization of enterprise applications and drive the next generation of software platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who came up through software engineering and has evolved into architecture leadership. You'll work closely with developers, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to modernize legacy applications, design cloud-native solutions, establish application architecture standards, and guide development teams through delivery.

This is a highly technical role where you'll be expected to participate in architecture discussions, solution design, application modernization efforts, and technical decision-making across multiple initiatives.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

What You'll Be Doing

Application Modernization

• Design and lead modernization initiatives for legacy enterprise applications.
• Define target-state architectures and migration strategies.
• Guide teams through application refactoring, re-platforming, and cloud adoption efforts.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.

APIs, Integrations & Distributed Systems

• Design and implement API-first solutions.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor developers and provide architectural guidance.
• Conduct design reviews and support technical decision-making.

• Collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, QA, and Platform teams.
