Permanent Placements LLC is recruiting an experienced Appellate Attorney for its Seattle-based client, a respected Pacific Northwest law firm. The role focuses on appellate advocacy, complex civil litigation, and close collaboration with trial teams.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of civil litigation experience, exceptional research and writing skills, and strong appellate briefing abilities. Seattle location with opportunities for embedded appellate guidance during trial.

Qualifications

• Must have a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing.
• 8–12 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
• Appellate briefing and motion practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit appellate briefs, dispositive motions, petitions, and other filings.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex issues.
• Develop appellate strategies with trial teams and clients.
• Present oral arguments before trial and appellate courts.
• Collaborate across practice areas on complex matters.
• Manage multiple appellate matters and deadlines.
