Lutron Electronics Company, Inc seeks an Experienced Application Software Engineer in Boston to design and deliver software platforms that integrate embedded Linux devices, cloud services, and customer-facing apps. You will work across embedded, cloud, and client applications to improve reliability and user experience.

You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in CS/CE/SE with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• 5+ years post-academic software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design across application, cloud and embedded components.
• Translate customer/device constraints into scalable software.
• Drive cross-team alignment for firmware, embedded, cloud and client apps.
• Mentor junior engineers and review solutions.
• Create design docs and perform unit testing and integration.
• Address field issues promptly and collaborate with senior engineers.
