Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join Cat Digital's cybersecurity team in shaping secure software delivery across applications.

You will partner with software engineers to embed security into the development lifecycle, guidance on practices, and remediation of findings using CodeQL, Rapid7 and other tools. This is a full-time on-site role based in Chicago/Peoria/Dallas.

Qualifications

• Experience securing web and API applications.
• Ability to guide engineers on security best practices.
• Familiarity with security testing and remediation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Guide software engineers on cybersecurity issues across applications.
• Influence security decisions at bug/story level and prioritize fixes.
• Enable and monitor automated defect detection tooling.
• Onboard and manage security testing scopes and results.
