Job summary

BitGo, a leading digital asset infrastructure company, is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead security program execution. This role focuses on securing FinTech and Web3 platforms by embedding end-to-end security controls into the SDLC and building scalable security programs.

You will work onsite in Palo Alto with a cross-functional team, implementing threat modeling, CI/CD security automation, and cloud infrastructure hardening on AWS with Terraform and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience engineering and scaling end-to-end security programs for high-growth startups.
• Background securing FinTech, Web3 and digital asset platforms.
• Strong software engineering skills in distributed systems and languages like Python or Java.
• Hands-on with container security, Kubernetes, and AWS hardening.
• Experience implementing controls for SOC 2 Type II and GDPR.
• Expertise in securing AI/ML lifecycles and MLOps frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines using SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management.
• Architect and implement secure-by-default AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Design and deploy encryption, KMS, and data protection across distributed environments.
• Oversee security initiatives including bug bounty programs, incident response, and pen tests.
• Secure AI-integrated applications by establishing input/output validation and guardrails.
• Develop proactive defenses against sophisticated adversaries.
