Esri is seeking an Application Security Engineer to design and operate security testing pipelines in Redlands, CA. You will assess risks, review code for security issues across multiple languages, and assist with pen testing while guiding developers on secure coding practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with DevSecOps and cloud teams, building GitHub Actions workflows, and mentoring engineers to protect Esri's data and applications. US citizenship and clearance readiness are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security with code reviews, pen tests and SAST/DAST findings.
• Experience framing risk using a consistent framework.
• Automations using Python/Typescript/Java/PowerShell.
• GitHub Actions workflows and broad workflow management.
• DevSecOps in Kubernetes with strong security practices.
• Reading/analyzing code for vulnerabilities.
• Familiar with HTTP, OAuth, OIDC, REST security standards.
• Cloud experience on AWS and Azure.
• Willingness to learn AI-assisted tooling.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain US security clearance.
• Incorporate data privacy safeguards in deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
