Job summary

Capgemini is hiring an experienced Apigee OPDK Engineer to administer and support Apigee OPDK environments across development, testing, and production. The role requires strong Linux administration skills, experience with virtualization, and API gateway troubleshooting. A current security clearance is required, with TS preferred, for work on enterprise API gateways.

The position is hybrid across U.S. locations and part of Capgemini's global software engineering team, offering extensive mentoring

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive hands-on Apigee OPDK administration, installation, configuration, and support.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration and virtualization experience.
• Proven experience with Apigee Proxy debugging and performance tuning.
• Experience with enterprise API gateways and API lifecycle management.
• Active security clearance required (GSA TS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Apigee OPDK environments across development, testing, and production.
• Troubleshoot API proxy, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues.
• Manage Linux servers and VM infrastructure supporting Apigee platforms.
• Monitor platform health, capacity, and availability for optimal performance.
• Apply security patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams on API integrations.
