Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking an API Architect to own Apigee architecture, governance, and security for APIs serving utility customers and enterprise processes.

You will drive lifecycle automation, developer enablement, monitoring, and operational readiness across a complex environment. The role requires extensive API-management experience with hands-on Apigee delivery, strong API design knowledge, and leadership across large organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive enterprise integration and API-management experience with hands-on Apigee delivery.
• Strong knowledge of API design, gateway policies, security, analytics, cloud/container deployment, and DevOps.
• Experience leading API governance and consumer enablement across large organizations.
• Apigee certification or equivalent advanced API-management expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns Apigee architecture, API governance, security, lifecycle automation, product management, developer enablement, monitoring, and operational readiness for APIs supporting utility customer and enterprise processes.
• Define developer portal, API catalog, onboarding, subscription, entitlement, support, and adoption processes.
• Set monitoring, logging, analytics, traceability, latency, error-rate, capacity, availability, and alerting requirements.
• Establish CI/CD, automated policy testing, configuration management, environment promotion, rollback, and release controls.
• Lead performance analysis, production incidents, security remediation, platform upgrades, disaster recovery, and operational-readiness reviews.
• Facilitate design governance, mentor API teams, manage vendor escalations, and maintain reference patterns and runbooks.
