Candescence is transforming digital banking with an AI-powered platform. We seek a hands-on Test Automation Engineer skilled in Postman-based API testing to design, develop, and maintain scalable API test suites. You will collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality API deliveries across environments.

The role requires strong JavaScript-based test scripting, experience with JWT/API Keys, and proficiency in automation assets and reporting. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on API and end-to-end testing experience.
• Strong Postman API testing experience and PractiTest.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
• JavaScript-based test scripting experience in Postman.
• Experience with JWTs and API Keys for security.
• Practical experience with Newman CLI and report generation.
• Working knowledge of Git-based version control systems.
• Experience with defect tracking tools, preferably Jira.

Responsabilités

• Perform API testing with Postman for REST endpoints including status, body, headers, errors and edge cases.
• Develop and maintain automated API tests in Postman with JavaScript tests and manage collections/environments.
• Execute tests with Postman Collection Runner and Newman; generate HTML/JSON reports.
• Manage API automation assets with Git and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Log, track, and re-test API defects in Jira with detailed artifacts.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, DevOps and analysts; participate in sprint ceremonies.
