Job summary

Dave & Buster’s / Main Event is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to document and architect integrations, design microservices, and API specifications while aligning with networking requirements. You will collaborate with tech leads and cross-functional teams to ensure design quality, mentor junior architects, and drive continuous improvement across digital architectures.

Required: 10+ years in IT, API management experience, cloud proficiency, and a IT/CS degree.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in analysis, design, implementation, development, and support of technology solutions on large initiatives.
• 7+ years producing architecture deliverables within an architecture framework.
• 5+ years with API management/Enterprise Service Bus technologies (TIBCO, Apigee, Mulesoft).
• 7+ years experience with Azure/AWS/Google Cloud.
• Experience creating APIs from scratch and API security/management.
• Experience integrating multiple systems and data mapping.
• Experience with digital technologies (cloud, data, APIs, microservices, event streaming) and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements with product owners and BAs.
• Coordinate across IT and business to ensure solution quality.
• Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes for API/integration projects.
• Ensure development teams follow documented design patterns and standards.
• Identify gaps and risks and define solutions.
• Mentor junior architects on advanced concepts and capabilities.
• Pursue continuous improvement and stay current with industry standards.
