Job summary

NorthHill Technology Resources is seeking a Senior API Management Engineer to support a Federal Program in Springfield, VA. You will join the CORE team delivering cloud-based API solutions and enterprise gateway deployments with a focus on reliability and performance.

The role requires a Top Secret Clearance (CI Poly sponsorship) and a strong background in Kong Enterprise, AWS, Linux, and DevOps practices. You will mentor junior engineers and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related technical discipline.
7+ years of IT experience focusing on API management and cloud operations.
Proven experience deploying Kong Enterprise API gateway.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment, configuration, and management of the API gateway in an enterprise environment.
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of API infrastructure.
Provide expert support to customers for API management and cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance API consumption and integration.
Monitor and optimize API performance and reliability.
Develop documentation and best practices for API management and support.
Drive continuous improvement in API strategies and cloud operations.
