Job summary

Sharetec is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, API & Integration to design and build greenfield API services that power our modernization strategy. You will work with Go, REST or GraphQL, and contribute to the central integration hub across systems.

The role focuses on secure, well-documented integrations, data normalization, and mentoring engineers. Fully remote in the U.S. with no CA sponsorship required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with leadership on complex projects.
• Proficiency in Go for backend and API services.
• Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs from scratch.
• Experience designing and building containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong database design, data normalization, and transitional architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build greenfield REST or GraphQL APIs in Go.
• Own API as integration layer for modernization initiative.
• Create scalable workloads using modern API standards and deployments (Docker, OAuth2, JWT, OpenAPI).
• Define API design standards and shared libraries.
• Mentor and coach engineers on API and integration design.
