Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a hands-on Gateway/Platform Engineer to deploy, automate, govern, and support enterprise API and AI gateway solutions on Kubernetes. You will establish reusable deployment patterns, integrate gateway capabilities with cloud-native platforms, and enforce enterprise standards across security, deployment, and operations.

The role requires strong Kubernetes and API security expertise, plus experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and GitOps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering or related enterprise tech roles.
• Minimum 3 years with API gateways, ingress gateways or API management technologies.
• Minimum 4 years Kubernetes experience including deployments, services, ingress, secrets and autoscaling.
• Minimum 4 years DevOps automation with Git, CI/CD, Helm, Terraform, IaC.
• Minimum 3 years AWS cloud experience including EKS, networking and IAM.
• Minimum 3 years implementing API security controls (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, TLS, mTLS).
• Minimum 2 years production monitoring, incident response, and technical documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Travel as required by client or project needs.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support enterprise API and AI gateway solutions on Kubernetes.
• Build and manage gateway workloads on Kubernetes platforms such as AWS EKS.
• Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, Terraform modules, and GitOps processes.
• Configure ingress, TLS, routing, authentication, authorization, rate limits, and gateway policies.
• Define reusable gateway patterns and guide developers to API, AI, security, and platform standards.
• Conduct design reviews, troubleshooting, upgrades, monitoring, incident support and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, network, security, and platform teams to resolve integration issues.
