Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an API Developer III for a remote contract role to design, build, and maintain APIs and integrations using .NET and Azure services. You will work across Salesforce, Workday, and other platforms, delivering secure, scalable solutions with strong emphasis on security and documentation.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and participating in planning with project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of development experience with languages such as C#.
• 4+ years of API development and system integration experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure integration services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using Azure services including APIM, Logic Apps, Application Gateway, and C# .NET API applications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers and promote API design best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Plan and schedule API development work with Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation for APIs, integration workflows, and development standards.
• Ensure security, scalability, and compliance in partnership with information security and senior developers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployments. Implement CI/CD and automated testing to reduce regressions.
• Partner with QA to validate new development. Create UAT testing plans for end-to-end integrations.
• Build a reusable API library in collaboration with Applications and Data teams to reduce point-to-point solutions.
