Affinity Solutions is seeking a Senior Data and Software Engineer I (API) to design, build, and scale RESTful APIs that power data integration across platforms. You will work on high-performance APIs, implement caching and security, and document with OpenAPI.

The role involves leading integrations with major partners and building secure data sharing in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in backend data engineering, strong SQL/Python, Snowflake expertise, and experience with

Qualifications

• Production-grade RESTful APIs with strong design patterns and backward compatibility.
• Performance optimization: querying, pooling, batching, compression.
• Deep knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, JWT, GraphQL and API gateway patterns.
• Experience with external vendors and multi‑party API ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs for large-scale data operations.
• Implement APIs with caching, rate limiting, pagination and asynchronous processing.
• Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI and ensure monitoring, logging and observability.
• Develop data privacy features for secure multi‑party collaboration and data governance.
• Lead integration projects (LiveRamp XMI, Salesforce, AWS/AMC clean rooms, CAPI).
• Collaborate with infrastructure for deployments and code reviews.
