Job summary

Novia Infotech seeks an experienced Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer for Houston, TX with remote flexibility. You will design, implement, and sustain APC/MPC solutions across refining and process manufacturing environments, leveraging MPC, process modeling, and OSI PI/Honeywell platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on APC/MPC experience in refining, petrochemical, or process manufacturing.
• Experience implementing and sustaining APC/MPC solutions.
• Proven ability to model processes and tune controllers in complex systems.
• Familiarity with Honeywell Forge, Experion, DCS, and process historians.
• Collaborates with operations and engineering to improve throughput, yield, energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain APC/MPC applications.
• Develop and deploy multivariable MPC for process units and refineries.
• Perform data analysis, process identification, and dynamic modeling.
• Configure controllers (MVs/CVs/constraints) and tune performance.
• Review PFDs/P&IDs, support FAT/SAT, MOC, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor performance KPIs and sustain improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, process engineering, and control teams.
