Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Senior Engineer I, Advanced Process Control (APC) to optimize refining processes with Honeywell Forge APC. You will guide APC strategies, model development, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance unit performance, reliability, and margin.

You will mentor less experienced APC engineers while expanding expertise in emerging APC tech and best practices. This role requires travel up to 5% and readiness for occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of combined experience in process engineering, process control, and/or APC in refining, petrochemical, or related industry.
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, tuning, and optimization of APC apps to improve unit stability, throughput, and yields.
• Monitor APC performance and KPIs; diagnose issues and drive troubleshooting with process teams.
• Develop and maintain APC models and control strategies meeting safety and regulatory standards.
• Design control strategies and equipment specs for projects; define instrumentation requirements for APC.
• Create and maintain APC documentation, standards, and training for operators and staff; lead MOC and audits.
