Job summary

Princeton Properties is seeking a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician for our Swanzey/Keene, NH portfolio. This role focuses on multifamily apartment-home maintenance, with hands-on experience in basic repairs, plumbing, electrical work and HVAC issues.

The position offers an on-site schedule with on-call rotation for emergencies and snow removal, and requires dependable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A pre-employment background check is required.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience required (apartment or general repair).
• Possesses a basic set of hand tools (e.g., hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers) and is comfortable using them.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks like bending, reaching, crawling, etc.
• Willing to be on-call for emergencies and snow removal (rotating schedule).
• The preferred candidate will live in the greater Portland/Scarborough area and must successfully pass a pre‑employment background screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing property maintenance.
• Complete daily maintenance work orders across apartment homes.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC issues.
• Respond to emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Work independently and with a team to keep communities clean and functioning.
• Communicate with vendors and property management staff as needed.
• Participate in snow removal when required (nights/weekends during storms).
