Sonos, Inc. is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to lead the next generation of in-home WiFi antenna design.

This hybrid role is based in Boston, MA or Goleta, CA with at least 3 in-office days per week and occasional international travel. You will own antenna design from concept to high-volume manufacturing, collaborating across software, hardware, acoustics, and wireless teams while mentoring junior engineers and guiding external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years antenna design or PhD with strong antenna theory background.
• Proficiency with CST and HFSS electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Experience with 3D anechoic chamber, VNA, and spectrum analyzer.
• Ability to direct external design or manufacturing partners with clear requirements and data.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including international travel.
• Must be able to work from the office 5 days per week.

Responsabilités

• Design and simulate multi-band antenna solutions across the product development cycle using full-wave EM tools (CST, HFSS).
• Build and test antennas, characterize performance with 3D chamber, VNA, and spectrum analyzer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product specs.
• Provide technical oversight to partners and lead DOEs and root-cause analysis.
• Own vendor selection and drive test strategy through high-volume manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing partners to ensure quality antenna implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to simulation/measurement standards.
• Assist EMI troubleshooting and regulatory certification activities.
• Deliver technical presentations on antenna design and results to cross-functional teams.
