Job summary

Sonos Inc. is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to own antenna design from concept to high-volume manufacturing at our Goleta, CA office.

You will work across software, hardware, acoustics, and wireless teams to deliver next-gen in-home WiFi antenna solutions, with opportunities to mentor juniors and shape testing standards. The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with hands-on RF expertise, travel up to 10%, and a strong focus on delivering reliable antenna performance

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with antenna expertise.
• Proficiency with CST and HFSS.
• Experience with antenna manufacturing technologies and materials.
• Strong RF and hardware troubleshooting skills and test equipment usage.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including international travel to Asia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, office-based 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate multi-band antenna solutions across the full product development cycle using CST/HFSS.
• Build and prototype antennas, characterize performance with 3D anechoic chamber, VNA, SA setups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, mechanical, and systems teams to meet specs.
• Provide antenna oversight to partners and DOEs, review designs and data, root-cause analysis.
• Own vendor selection and qualification, drive test strategy and yield in high-volume manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality antenna implementation at external partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to simulation/measurement practices.
• Assist with EMI troubleshooting and regulatory certification tasks.
• Deliver technical presentations on antenna design and results to cross-functional and senior audiences.
