Job summary

USA Health seeks an experienced physician leader to direct and oversee the Anesthesiology Residency Program. The Program Director will work with department leadership, DIO, and GME to build curriculum, recruit faculty, and guide accreditation while sustaining an active clinical practice.

The role includes leading curricula, evaluation, and faculty development, ensuring compliance with ACGME and ABA requirements in a collaborative academic setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required and ABA/AOBA board certification or eligibility is expected.
• Eligibility for Alabama medical licensure is required.
• Active MOCA 2.0 maintenance of certification is preferred for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of USA Health's Anesthesiology Residency Program.
• Prepare and oversee the ACGME accreditation application and ongoing activities.
• Develop curriculum, policies, resident evaluation processes, and faculty development.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate residents; lead governance committees.
• Oversee clinical duties while maintaining an active anesthesiology practice.
