Job summary

Audible is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to define, design, and refine the tech behind our Android apps, reaching millions of listeners daily. You will build and maintain scalable software in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working with world-class engineers to push the boundaries of audio storytelling.

You should have at least five years of professional software development, leadership experience, and a track record of shipping reliable systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain software components and applications for Audible's Android apps.
Identify and resolve software defects through code review, log analysis, metrics examination, debugging, and other troubleshooting methods.
Collaborate with stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software that inspires and impacts users.
Apply computer science, engineering, and analysis principles to solve moderate-scale problems.
Mentor fellow engineers and participate in interview processes.
