Job summary
Compass Real Estate - Peninsula is seeking an experienced Android engineer to lead initiatives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You will collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into robust Android solutions, while guiding junior engineers and advocating for scalable, maintainable architectures.
You will shape the technical direction, perform reviews, and ensure high-quality, well-tested code with strong operational practices.
Qualifications
- BS in CS or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin and shipping apps to the Play Store.
- 3+ years of modern Kotlin development with Jetpack Compose and Flow.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of complex Android projects with autonomy and ownership.
- Guide junior engineers and ensure best practices in engineering and operations.
- Influence product roadmap with technical insights and architectural changes.
- Define and decompose projects, lead delivery, and mentor teammates.
- Architect modular codebase to improve build speeds and scalability.
- Perform code and design reviews, write high quality tests, and ensure observability.
