Job summary

TechNeptune Consulting Inc. is seeking a hands-on Android Developer to build, enhance, and support enterprise-grade Android applications. You will collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, QA, and Backend teams across the full SDLC.

Ideal candidate has 6+ years of Android development with Kotlin, Java, REST APIs, testing, and performance optimization. This contract role requires strong debugging skills and adherence to security best practices; onboarding include CI/CD and Agile/Scrum.

Qualifications

6+ years Android development
Expert Kotlin proficiency
Proficient in Java for Android
Experience with REST APIs/JSON integration
Experience with Kotlin Coroutines
Strong knowledge of Room/SQLite
Experience with unit and integration testing
Skilled in mobile debugging and performance optimization
Follows mobile security best practices
Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps
Familiar with Agile/Scrum

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications.
Integrate applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Participate in architecture/design discussions and code reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
Collaborate with QA, UX, Product, and Backend teams.
Support releases, deployments, testing, and production activities.
Contribute to modernization, technical debt reduction, and development best practices.
