Job summary

Reddit is seeking a Senior Android engineer on the Design System Team to evolve our cross-platform design system and UI architecture. You will build reusable components and improve platform capabilities that empower product teams to ship high-quality experiences efficiently.

You’ll lead architecture and performance improvements, advance accessibility, and contribute to shared tooling and documentation to enhance the overall developer experience across Reddit’s products.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of software engineering experience with cross-functional projects.
• Experience building shared UI infrastructure across multiple teams.
• Strong Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; expertise in UI architecture and performance optimization using Instruments.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and building accessible components.
• Embodies Reddit’s Evolve value—embraces ambiguity and seeks feedback.

Responsibilities

• Evolve Reddit’s cross-platform design system by expanding its capabilities and reusable components.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to align design system with real product needs.
