Job summary

Snap Inc expects an Android Engineer to push the limits of mobile devices and craft compelling user experiences for Snapchat. You will build smooth, stable apps and contribute from design through implementation and launch.

The role requires 6+ years of software development, strong Kotlin/Java skills, and the ability to evaluate tradeoffs while collaborating with design and security teams. Equity RSUs are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree +5+ years; or PhD with post-grad experience.
• Experience with Android application development.
• Preferred Kotlin and Android expertise.

Responsibilities

• Push the limits of mobile devices and create great user experiences.
• Build smooth, stable, and fun products.
• Develop features from design through implementation and launch.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with design on UI and infrastructure.
• Perform code reviews to guarantee code quality and security.
