Base pay range

$170,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

Senior Android Engineer – Onsite (Santa Monica) – Up to $220,000 – Equity – 401k –Medical/Dental/Vision – Well-funded, Start-up, Flutter & Native Android

The Company

This company is a rapidly growing start-up based in Los Angeles. They are backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Abstract VC, and one of the Founders of YouTube. They are in hyper-growth mode and are a mobile-first platform focused on live streaming and real-time communication. They are extremely fun, fast-paced, and passionate.

Skills/Requirements:

• 4+ years of Android engineering experience
• Kotlin
• Jetpack Compose
• Coroutines
• Dagger, Hilt, Koin (one or combination)
• Exoplayer or other Android-specific streaming tools
• Experience with real-time media streaming (WebRTC, RTMP, HLS, etc)
• Start-up Experience

The Position

You will be working on a very exciting product, driving innovation from within. You will be tasked with migrating an existing Flutter codebase to native Android using Jetpack/Kotlin. Flutter experience is preferred, but not a deal breaker at all given you'll be moving away from the framework. Any exposure to Flutter is a huge plus. This company looks for strong engineers as they know good programmers can pick up new tools and languages seamlessly.
