Job summary

GC2IT seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Analytics Services Lead to own design, delivery, and operability of analytics services on a large-scale, globally distributed platform. You will oversee Java-based microservices, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana, and Vue.js 3 interfaces to enable mission-critical analytics and reporting.

The role requires a strong background in analytics platforms, leadership of multi-team efforts, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree required; four additional years of experience may substitute.
Ten or more years of software engineering, data platform engineering, search engineering, or analytics experience; at least four years leading a major technical service area or team.
Hands-on experience building and operating analytics or search services in production.
Strong experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and/or Grafana and Java-based backend services/microservices.
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

Own the analytics services portfolio including user-facing analytics, search and aggregate query services, and visualization interfaces.
Lead design and delivery of Java-based microservices for analytics, search, aggregation, and reporting workflows.
Define indexing, sharding, retention, query strategy, data models, and service contracts for distributed analytics workloads.
Ensure analytics services support mission-facing reporting and operational telemetry analysis across services, infrastructure, and networking.
Tune and optimize analytic queries to meet latency requirements and real-time workflows.
Guide dashboards and role-specific analytics views and reporting capabilities.
