Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Senior Principal Research Analyst in Regulatory Operations Analytics to drive analytics projects end-to-end and promote the use of advanced methods across the organization. This role collaborates with business units and delivery teams to deliver predictive capabilities that support regulatory programs and investor protection.

The position emphasizes data collection, automation of predictive pipelines, and mentorship of other analysts, with a hybrid work environment and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or quantitative discipline.
• 6+ years of related work experience in Data Science, Engineering or Software development.
• Experience with machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing preferred.
• Familiarity with Big Data processing and platforms desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote the use of advanced analytics for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Lead business engagement activities including soliciting use cases and training.
• Contribute to development and enhancement of FINRA’s cross-market surveillance program.
• Deliver analytics capabilities across delivery teams to solve critical business problems.
• Ensure data, tools, and infrastructure availability for experimentation and development.
