Job summary

Waystar, a leader in healthcare payments, is seeking an experienced analytics leader in Louisville to guide complex data initiatives. You will drive advanced analyses, build and manage dashboards, and partner with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver actionable insights.

You will mentor a team of data analysts, shape governance practices, and stay ahead of industry analytics trends, ensuring data quality and impactful business outcomes for Waystar’s broad client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years in data analytics, BI, or related field with impact.
• Advanced SQL for extraction, manipulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau/Power BI/Looker and dashboards.
• Strong stats knowledge, hypothesis testing, experimental design.
• Clear communicator to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of analytical models and reports.
• Identify business questions and opportunities via data exploration.
• Translate findings into clear presentations for executives and teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business units to define data requirements.
• Develop dashboards and self-service analytics tools for users.
• Investigate performance anomalies and suggest solutions.
• Mentor junior analysts and grow technical skills.
• Stay current with analytics methods and governance best practices.
