Job summary

Simbe Robotics is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own production-grade data pipelines from ideation to delivery. You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Scientists to surface insights from retail data at scale, building organized data marts for self-serve analytics and AI-powered insights.

This role blends data and software engineering: writing production code, ensuring reliability, and driving cross-functional projects to completion without blockers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or a closely related role with production features.
• Experience with dbt and Kimball Dimensional modeling in production workflows.
• Proficient SQL and large-scale cloud data platforms (BigQuery preferred).
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams.
• Retail domain experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own production pipelines end-to-end, including monitoring and alerting.
• Scope and deliver features by shaping raw data into analytical models via Kimball dimensional modeling with dbt.
• Drive cross-functional delivery and unblock blockers across teams.
• Apply AI tooling to accelerate analysis and development.
• Translate retail data into business decisions for internal and client use.
• Raise analytical standards with reproducibility, docs, and code quality.
• Build conversational data experiences allowing queries via natural language (nice to have).
