Job summary

Simbe is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own production-grade data pipelines, surface insights from retail data, and build organized data marts for self-serve analytics. The role partners with Product, Engineering, and Data Scientists to deploy AI-assisted analytics at scale.

You will design robust analytics pipelines, implement dimensional models with dbt, and ensure reliable, production-ready data products for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or a closely related role.
• Experience with dbt and Kimball Dimensional modeling in production.
• Strong SQL and experience with large-scale cloud data platforms (GCP/BigQuery).
• End-to-end ownership of analytics features lifecycle.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, or Commercial teams.
• Retail industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on use of AI tools to accelerate analytics work.

Responsibilities

• Own production pipelines end-to-end — design, build, and maintain robust analytics pipelines.
• Shape data into analytical models via Kimball dimensional modeling with dbt.
• Drive cross-functional delivery with minimal blockers.
• Apply AI tooling to accelerate analysis and development.
• Translate store signals into meaningful business outcomes for internal teams and clients.
• Raise standards for reproducibility, documentation, and code quality.
• Build conversational data experiences to query data via natural language (nice to have).
